Internet Space not accesible trough samba/http

Hi,

I have the following problem with my Lacie Internet Space (1TB), OS version 1.6.4
After a while (1day) my disk suddenly stops being accessible...
The device is still "ping-able", but i can't connect trough the webinterface or the windows network...
When i unplug the power cord, and the device reboots, it's back available, and everything works flawless...

Is there a solution for this probleme, or do i just have to live with this?

Hi,

my system had more or less the same symptoms. It's a bit of a long shot, but I saw there were over 900 open network connections on my Lacie.
They were all to my laptop to google desktop. I uninstalled google desktop (which I wasn't really using anyway) and that solved the problem of those lingering connections. After that, I didn't experience many problems any longer.
But like I said, its a bit guessing from here ..

Now I know there's someone on this forum ^^

Second, I can only see 4 connections from/to the internet space... So I don't think this is causing the problem...
I'll keep an eye on it, maybe something will increase the connections on another time of the day...

Perhaps I should bump this topic everytime I have to reset my Internet Space to get some attention...

Do I really have to reset the entire disk?

What I have gathered from similar posts is that you should mail your login credentials to support and they will 'investigate'.
If you are skilled enough with linux you could try to get a root shell on the internet space and go from there (at least you will be able to do the 'investigation' yourself). Google for it.
